Over the past 15 years, Huay Yang has developed into an attractive destination for a resourceful, predominantly Scandinavian clientele — especially Swedes — who value peace, safety, and a healthy, social environment. Many are, or have been, in senior professional roles and are seeking a place with a higher quality of life rather than traditional tourism.

What sets Huay Yang apart from more commercial destinations is its close connection to the authentic Thai local community. Here, it's easy to feel included — whether through everyday interactions in the neighborhood or by engaging in local initiatives such as animal welfare, support for children, and community activities.

The Beach

A wide, golden sandy beach just 30 meters from your apartment — no road in between. Almost private, always warm. Just steps from your house are two private beach pavilions with soft, comfortable cushions, offering a peaceful retreat to relax, unwind, and enjoy the stunning beachfront setting.

Our story

How Dream Beach came to be

Chapter 1

Dream Beach began with a simple idea

After many years of traveling the world — especially throughout Asia — I found myself constantly searching for places that still felt real. Places where nature, calm, and everyday life existed in balance.

While working as a kitesurfing instructor near Surin Beach, I came across this open stretch of land right on the beach. It was one of those rare places you immediately feel — space, silence, and a natural connection to the ocean.

I didn't want to overbuild it. The goal was to keep the feeling of having your own private beach, while creating a place others could experience the same.

Chapter 2

Built with care

Every building is thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly into the tropical landscape. Natural materials, open floor plans, and expansive terraces blur the line between indoors and outdoors.

All apartments, in addition to comfortable lounge areas and dining spaces, feature inviting hammocks where you can fully unwind while enjoying beautiful views and a soft coastal breeze.

The owner has a special passion for palm trees and lush tropical flowers and fruit trees, which can be found throughout the gardens and on many of the balconies. His greatest pride, however, is the naturally landscaped beachfront, carefully created over the years to blend beautifully with the surrounding nature and provide a peaceful, tropical paradise for guests.

Everything is crafted with a deep respect for nature and the surrounding community — creating a calm, refined atmosphere that feels both effortless and exclusive.

Chapter 3

A living community

Today Dream Beach is more than a resort — it's a small community of like-minded people who value simplicity, nature, and great experiences. Local fishermen, the bakery around the corner, and the yoga instructor on the beach are all part of the story.

The owner is passionate about sharing his love of sailing and quiet, eco-friendly water sports. Guests are welcome to discover activities such as sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, wing foiling, kiteboarding, and eFoiling in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Chapter 4

Your turn

Whether you come for a week, a month, or the rest of your life — Dream Beach is a place that changes you. Many guests return year after year. Some have even decided to stay.

Location

Huay Yang, Thap Sakae, Prachuap Khiri Khan — Thailand's west coast. Approximately 4 hours from Bangkok by taxi, train, or bus, and just 2 hours from Hua Hin.

Most guests prefer the comfort of our private taxi service, offering a smooth and effortless journey directly to the resort from your airport with your name on a sign.

For those who prefer a more budget-friendly option, both train and bus connections are available, with convenient stops along the main road running through the country, just a short distance from our town.

We're happy to help you find the easiest and most convenient way to reach the resort.

Climate

One of the things we treasure most at Dream Beach Surin Resort is our open coastal setting, where a gentle sea breeze and fresh ocean air create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere all year round.

Tropical climate with temperatures between 26°C and 34°C year-round. Best season: November to April. Monsoon: June to October.

Along the coast, the monsoon season is generally milder, with shorter and more passing showers compared to many other parts of Thailand.

From November to January, the area is known for some of Thailand's best wind conditions, making it ideal for watersports such as kitesurfing and foiling.

Safe & peaceful

Thailand is rated as a safe destination for tourists. Huay Yang is a peaceful village with no crime — a safe choice for families and solo travelers.
